Issue with WIFI

Guest
Good afternoon everyone,

I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S3, I know...old. My wifi just stopped working today for no reason. I've tried; restarting router, taking battery out of the phone, and I just did a factory reset of my phone. When I press the Wi-Fi button, it does a dark green for about 10 seconds like it does before connecting, then just goes back to shut off. I have no idea how to fix this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Sounds like you've done everything you can to try and remedy it, so it could be the WiFi itself has failed. Repair on an old S3, is probably not viable.

You could try flashing the official factory firmware for your carrier. If it is a software issue that might fix it. If that doesn't help then you are looking at hardware......

A random thought

Take the back off and check that all the little screws around he outside are done up tight (need a very small X head screwdriver). This fixed a similar issue on an S3 mini a while ago - its seemed to reconnect the wifi antenna somehow.

(NB I dont even know if there are screws on a Note 3)
