Help Issues reading the battery

Mada

Android Enthusiast
So my MAXX seems to have issues reading the battery percent left on the phone. It's only showing the percent in tenths, such as 10%, 20%, 30%, and so on all the way to 100%. This is what I get when I go into settings > Battery information. However, I have this application that seems to read the battery accurately, it's showing all the numbers. It reads 22% right now and I have seen it at all other random numbers throughout the day.

So anyone else having this issue?

I don't own the MAXX,but, this is status quo for MOTOROLA ANDROID phones.

The options available to get around this,AFAIK,are:

1) Install an aftermarket battery app,as you've done.

2) Root,&/or unlock the phone to install a custom ROM,which typically has accurate battery indicating, showing 1% increments.

So wait, it's like this on all motorola phones?!

What kind of software design is that!! I do have a widget on one of my homescreens but it relies on the stock rom for the percentage. Which is annoying.

When this thing gets ICS they better make it work normally -_-

Battery Left is also an excellent free battery widget on the Market. It's the best that I have found so far - extremely customizable!

Thanks for the recommendations, first I'm trying my luck emailing the developer to see if he will add some coding. I offered a monetary donation in bribery :p

I use battery notifier on my phone. It shows battery percentage in 1% increments in big numbers. It has quite a few options. It's free but there is a pro version with more options for .99 cents.
