Help Issues setting up ActiveSync email with new HTC One M8

I just got a new HTC One M8 and am trying to set up my work email. I can get the whole way through the setup process but it says 'failed to create account, try again later'
Couple of things I tried. -no lock screen code -pattern lock screen code -pin lock screen code -adding the account via the accounts section & via the mail application. I have also tried disabling Fast Boot, and factory resetting my phone. The same thing happens while connected 4G/LTE and wifi.
My credentials are accurate, and correct on setup screen. If I try changing a username or server address it tells me that my credentials are invalid and won't let me move on.
I checked with my helpdesk and everything looks right on their side, but they mentioned that sometimes when new phones come out they have issues connecting. This fall the Nexus 5 needed an update to work on our network.
It appears like there is an issue when the phone is trying to finalize and create the account. The verification of the credentials is hitting our server.
I am on the Rogers network in Canada.

If anyone has any ideas let me know.
Thanks.

WELCOME TO ANDROID FORUMS wigginsender !

Can you possibly see if a co-worker can succesfully sign-in to their email account w/your handset?

Sometimes my brain is just mush. I can't believe I didn't think of that.

Just tried it and it worked. I guess i'm going back to the help desk

Thanks!

Update: Just spoke with the Helpdesk and my name was in some crazy old profile thing that they needed to remove me from. Turns out everyone in my department who gets a new phone needs to do this.

The Good thing out of all of this is that it made me sign up for an Android forum.

Thanks again

Have your IT Dept. check to make sure your account is listed in the proper "group",if applicable.

A co-worker of mine had a similar issue w/the WI-FI log-in @ work, which is the same as our e-mail,& found that his account was misplaced into the wrong group.
Once that was corrected,log-in problems disappeared.
