Help Issues with file managers

Anyone else having force close issues with file managers? I use two (androzip, and xplore) and they both crash upon completing any action (move, copy, delete, etc.). It's rather annoying.

Are they free? If so, I'll check on my N7's either tonight or tomorrow when I get the KK update.

I usually use Root Explorer myself.

I also use root Explorer, but many people recommend es file explorer. Astro is another popular one, but I don't think it's root enabled.

I suppose I could try a new file Explorer... I'm used to mine though and I figured since I have the same issue with both of them, that the problem wasn't with the file Explorer itself.

Also, I don't want to buy a new one but I'll think about it...

So no issues for you then jhawk?

I wonder if the devs haven't updated something in the ones I use that are causing issues?

Is root Explorer just called Explorer now?

Alright, so sure enough, it turns out the 4.4 update must be the issue.

Just received a Play Store update for xplore and one of the items on the list was "Crash Fix for Android 4.4".

Seems to be working now. Hopefully I'll get an update for the other soon too. :)

This won't be a problem specific to any type of app, some will just need to be updated by the dev to work properly with 4.4.

This is always a problem with new Android versions released on a Nexus device until people catch up.

So while I was being toaught from the pros on these forums about how task managers and apps like DU battery saver were/are snakeoil. Somebody also mentioned go products and cheetah products were no good aswell, why is cheetah bad? Im only asking because I really like the layout of the made by cheetah file manager. Can anyone tell me why or what could be the issue ppl have with Cheetah products? p.s. and go products for that matter? plz & thks in advance for anykind of elaboration.

This will explain why Cheetah Mobile is one of the most hated companies making Android software. My post #3 has some good information, including a link to a thread with lotsa good stuff by EarlyMon and others here.

Basically, ANYTHING and EVERYTHING by Cheetah Mobile is evil.

Stuff by the Go Team also phones home to China and throws up obnoxious ads. Plus, over the years it's gotten badly bloated and buggy. Just all around d bad.

Who is p.s.?

Also, check this out. Read the links in my post #17:
