Help Issues with my phone locking up in a blank screen

I have not changed a thing on my phone since I brought it. But I have been having this issue where my phone goes blank and people can ring my phone but it doesn't do anything and it stays frozen unless i do a soft reboot or pull the battery. How do i fix it? Btw this is my 1st smart phone.

If you just bought the phone from Boost, I would take it to them and have them fix it. You have not added any apps or anything? look under settings and about phone and see which build number or software version you have? If you are on FL24, you could update it to Jelly Bean (GC01) by plugging it into a pc that has an internet connection and is running the Samsung Kies software.

I had this issue with my first SGS2. After flashing my first rom, it never did it again. Upgrading it to 4.1 should solve the problem. it did for me on my second sgs2.

Same here, upgrade to jellybean first as that fixed the random blank screen for me.
