Help Issues with new Droid Maxx

I am new to this forum and need help. I just bought the new droid maxx and love the phone except for 2 things that I believe can be fixed. I don't know if it is my phone only . I don't know if I am posting in the right spot. Customer service or tech support can not help me fix these issues. The first is with Motorola assist. It us great and helps me but when you set it to drive mode it silences all volume and reads you who is calling and reads text messages. When in sleep mode it silences all volume. However when it leaves drive mode or sleep mode it raises the volumes back up like it should except for my alerts volume such as my text messages it leaves that volume down and on vibrate only. I want it to raise all my volumes back up like I set them. Now I have to go into settings and manually raise it every time. My second issue is with Google play music.
I live the app and it works great for a day or two and then freezes you can navigate the app but no more sound comes out and the only way to fix is do a soft reset. These issues are small but very annoying. Please help or tell me where to go for help
 
I'm not sure how to help you on those issues.

My recommendation would be to post a new thread in the Droid Maxx subforum. There are bound to people there that have knowledge of your specific device.
 
Welcome to android Forums. I've never used Assist. I use ... Volume Control + Pro ... and have for about the last four years. It allows you to set all volumes and choose a group that sets them all (your way) with a button click.

I suggest that you give it a try. I was always frustrated by the Android volume controls until I stumbled across this app.

There are some known issues with the driving assist feature that Motorola is working on. Hopefully there will be an update soon.

However, I use the sleep assist feature and do not have that problem with alert volumes. I suppose it's possible that there are issues with this, though the change log for the Motorola X update that is being delivered to T-Mobile versions of the X do not mention that as a fix (it does mention fixes for the drive assist feature.)

Do you have any other apps that might affect volumes?
 
OK, I can confirm that if you change the volumes while in sleep assist, they will not change when the phone is supposed to leave sleep assist. I accidentally hit the volume up key last night after my phone was in sleep mode when I meant to hit the power key (so, it went to vibrate from silence) and when I woke up this morning it never went back to full volume.
