Issues with OpenSignal

I live in a rural area where T Mobile is pretty new so I have been mapping their coverage using the Open Signal app.
Recently every test I run is dated 700pm 12-31-69. I've factory reset my device. Cleared the cache for OpenSignal. Cleared the android partition and reinstalled and uninstalled OpenSignal a few times.

I've tried contacting Open Signal about this issue and doing some Googling, but I haven't found anyone who has encountered this.
The app is basically useless to me now as it doesn't save and send my GPS position to OpenSignal for mappping purposes.

Anyone here have any ideas as to what is happening
 
Among the things you listed to clear up this problem, you didn't mention using 'Clear data'. The configuration settings are store there, not in the cache. And uninstalling an app does not necessarily wipe its stored settings either. 'Clear data' returns the app to its original, just-installed state so you'll go through see the same, initial set up messages like the first time you used it. Try that and see what if the dates to saved tests are back to normal.
 
Nevermind. Found it. I've done that already before. Just did it again, then uninstalled, reinstalled, and same issue.
It's probably a bug, but since Opensignal won't reply to any trouble tickets or emails, I've turned here for help

Thanks, Hadron. Found it. I've already tried it multiple times.
Interesting thing I noticed, when I download from the play store, it's only 3.5 or so mb, but it shows it taking up almost 10mb when I check the phone storage immediately after downloading the app
 
Apps are typically compressed to save bandwidth when it involves online transfers, then during the install process get expanded to their regular size.
But getting back to your initial problem, the test dates continue to be tagged at 1969? That's a classic date by the way, often referred to as 'Epoch Time'.

Time stamps are generally tied to the system's (in this case your phone's) internal clock. Is there anything you notice going on with your phone's time and date?
 
I have to wonder if this is not so much an Open Signal app issue or something tied to your phone. As I stated before, a file gets its time stamp from the system's clock. If you keep seeing those test entries listed as 'epoch' time maybe there's something else going on. But since you don't see anything odd with the time/date, presumably through your phone's GUI interface, or some calendar app or whatever, try installing this 'Terminal Emulator' app:

Start it up, and just type in 'date' (without the quotes) and then Enter. The resulting line should show the day, date, time, time zone, and year; (i.e. Thu Dec 28 21:32:01 CST 2017) Everything should be matching up with the current time and date. Yes?
If no, what model phone are you using?
