Help Issues with S5 Bluetooth

Does anyone if the S5 BLE is running in duel mode or only in low energy mode? The reason being that I can't pair my headphones which are using a non-standard version of BT2.1. (My old Galaxy S3 was able to pair though.)

And if you have a solution for syncing the devices, that would also be appreciated.
