isyncr on the S3? Can anyone get it to work?

Just curious. I emailed the devs but haven't heard back. Just way to make sure the problem isn't on my end. Has anyone successfully used isyncr with the S3 either syncing to the SD card or the internal storage?

Oh no...iSyncr is my go to app for music syncing. Ugh.

I should have my GSIII tomorrow and it will be one of the first things I test. I'll try to remember to post back.

I see this was posted yesterday. Chris and I try to get back to you within 24 hours, so hopefully you've gotten a response back.

For Mac OS + S3, we have some known issues, however, most of them seem to be taken care of with our beta,
JRT Studio: Samsung Galaxy S3 Beta Support for USB Mac Syncing
However, the S3 Mac beta is having issues with non-S3 devices, so we are not pushing this out to everyone yet.

As for Windows, there are no known issues using the Galaxy S3 on a Windows machine. You might have to install the Samsung drivers first, but that is the case for all Samsung phones.

Lastly, I don't know of any issues using iSyncr WiFi with the S3.

All of this information assume you are running the latest software as of 7/10/2012.

Thanks,

Justin

Was not aware you guys posted on this forum! Thanks for the reply Justin. I am running windows 7.

I just did a clean install of windows 7 in an attempt to fix my problem. I am HOPING that my Motorola drivers were the cause of this issue. So I will report back when I update everything and try to sync again.

I am using Isyncr 3.1.2.0. I know on my Droid X2 it installed the isyncr program to the phone itself and I ran it from their. Now it installs the license and directs me to the application for the PC.

Well false alarm, it works perfectly fine on the S3. I just sync'd about 20 gb of songs flawlessly.

I however did run into a problem that I emailed Chris about. It was working PERFECT until I deleted my old folder on the phone itself (which in turn deleted my license). I installed Isyncr again and got the license installed...but now it hangs at 'working' anytime I check a playlist. Not exactly sure what to do at this point :-(. I really don't want to re-install W7 again.

Edit: Nevermind, All I had to do to fix it was go into the SD card Isyncr folder itself and let windows update the listing. Works flawlessly again!

Glad to see that things worked out OK. My GSIII is on the FedEx truck now and should be delivered sometime today. iSyncr will be one of the first apps I setup.

Also good to see the dev posting in here. Good stuff.

This software is a life saver! I am so pleased to have discovered it, after getting the Galaxy S3 and being an avid Mac user. I am also happy to hear that rxmxsh confirmed it will work with Mountain Lion (I am still a Lion user at present). Although I found Easy Phone Sync also synced itunes content between mac and S3, I couldn't find anything to get photos and videos from my phone. The Samsung Kies software wont cooperate alongside easy phone sync, and android file transfer doesnt work either! At least iSyncr and iSyncr Wifi allows me to sync photos and videos from my phone to my mac, and wirelessly too! I do hope the developers keep supporting this software, I'll go crazy without it!

One more request though, I need some way to upload content back to my phone i.e. videos and photos. Can I do this with iSyncr? If not, can someone suggest how to do it, and to my external SD card on the S3 from my Mac?

Thanks everyone, so pleased to find this forum too!

Regards
Simon

in iSyncr there are settings to sync photos & videos back to your PC or Mac, yes.

Is that what you were asking?

Hi Joggy.

Actually I wondered if there is a way to send photos and videos from the mac to the phone... That would complete the sync experience. Not sure how else I can upload my own photos to the S3 unless I use Dropbox?

Just thought I'd chime in since I'm using a Mac running Mountain Lion.

Make sure you download the Samsung Kies uninstaller for your Mac even if you never installed it. Also it is very important to restart both devices. My Mac kept saying device load failure till I restarted it then sync'd flawlessly.
