Ok, so i'm a noob when it comes to the android platform and this phone scene stuff but with alot of research and looking into everything electronic, I just don't know why my Optimus S that I've had can't do ANYTHING right!? It's like this phone is geared for you to just throw it against the wall and spend of upwards of 2000$ on a "capable" phone. Sprint has alot up its sleaves and I just don't know why you can't get an afforadble phone that is as upbeat as the others?
No updates, no rooting, no teathering, poor usb capabilities, crashes, freezing, almost non-existent music player, No flash player, I could go on and on about how poor my phone is and how badly I want to get an iPad or even an HTC EVO 3D but I keep telling myself that there will be an update released by sprint or an extremely gifted app creator...am I just fooling myself or should I stop being such a penny pincher!!!???

Thanks for joining the forum. I would suggest getting a different model phone (preferable EVO 3d) because It's obvious that - that phone model or specific phone isn't working out for you.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums!

The LG Optimus line of handsets is fairly mediocre in specifications and performance. I wouldn't expect too much from it. Perhaps if you want a higher performing model, you should expect to pay a but for it. Many carriers offer refurbs for a lower price and have specials occasionally. I picked up my SGS2 for $50 during a holiday special.
