Lol. The s2 still has a great developer support (hopefully for Boost too). Maybe check out the s2 all things root forum on here. Touchwiz is heavy and bloated so putting something like cyanogen 10 on the s2 and overclocking it would probably make it feel like a new phone 
Ive noticed though (on the s3 anyway) you do lose a bit of battery life when you leave touchwiz behind and overclocking would lose more :thumbup:
