It works in the bath!

Coming from an incredible, whose touchscreen was unusable with a drop of water. The Razr is fully functional with soaking wet hands. Bodes well for using it running with some sweat and rain. As well as checking it poolside.

good luck with that. Despite whatever coating they use, this is more a marketing feature than anything else. I wouldn't rely on it to protect your phone/warranty.

Nano coatings are real and work REALLY well. I for one would still do my best to keep from getting the phone wet but don't be so quick on giving up on the coatings.

I have an idea who will be the one to post the first, "My Razr stopped working" thread... :p

This thread brings up an interesting question.

If the RAZR has the nano coating but it still has liquid damage indicators sealed inside the body, how will the replacement process work?

1) Replace in store, then when original is sent back, be charged if indicators are tripped?
2) Replacement done by send back 1st, then receive replacement days later after inspection?

How does Verizon iPhone replacement work? Since it has a sealed body, I'd assume the RAZR process would be the same.

Great questions!!!!
Did u you call VZ CS and asked them?

even w/ the nano coating, i'll stick put it in a zip-lock sandwich bag when i'm in the pool or tub. I use the gallon sized ones for my tablet.

Razr is not advertised as "Durable" - specs on the defy are water resistant to 1M - not true for Razr.

Kids, dont try that at home with the Razr.

I will say the screen getting wet does survive better than my Droid X does. Rain water or wet fingers and it recovers easy. My Droid X needs a batter pull most of the time. Sometimes I have to just wipe the RAZR screen, sometimes it still works fine even while the screen is wet.

I had my iPhone by my swimming pool and my friend didn't see my iphone on top of the towel and dropped it into the pool as he lifted the towel. Phone ruined.
