I don't know why they would never sell it in the US... clearly the Note series is the most popular amongst phablets but if they ever intend to change that they've got to start somewhere.

They started with the One Max - popular with its owners, lost in the spec wars.

The Asia M7 had an SD card.

The dual sim M8d only has 16 GB onboard storage.

HTC often uses less expensive components on the Asian models, this is no exception.

"I can't wait to get an M9 with a MediaTek processor," said no one whose first language is English, ever.

The press recycled the Korean overheating rumor from December until it became an established fact.

The only thing a MediaTek processor would accomplish here would be more benchmark click bait.

I'm all for an HTC M9 phablet - and that ain't it.
