So is it really worth paying $19.95 for the iTunes program to copy (essentially) a playlist onto the G1? How many songs will I be able to squeeze on the memory without a SD card?

I dont use iTunes ... but why would you NOT store music and playlists all on the SD ??? ... I have 15 CDs of music on my SDCard ... 16GB-card

or just search google for itunes agent and use that for free.
