I've always been an iPhone guy..

I've had all iPhones except the iPhone 5. I'm going to upgrade soon, but I'm not sure if I want to stay on iOS or get the HTC One. I'll wait until WWDC before I decide. To be honest, iOS 7 will make my decision, not the next iPhone itself. So, on to my question..

I've always heard the stock Android experience is best. There are parts of the HTC Sense software I do like on the One though. (Played with one at Sprint a few times)

If I purchase a stock HTC One, can I add BlinkFeed and the parts I like from the Sense skin?

Stock Android isn't really the best. Its all up to preference, and most people just want to have stock Android so that they can get all the updates on time.

Anyway, you can't add specific features of Sense into another skin, because their all part of the same app, the Sense Launcher. They will only work if you have the Sense skin. Even on an HTC One, you can't use BlinkFeed if you use a different launcher. With you coming from an iPhone, you may want to start out with a skinned device.

Thanks for the quick reply. BlinkFeed is a huge reason I love the One so much. (As well as the amazing design and speed!) I think you made my decision for me. Unless iOS 7 has a maaaajor overhaul, I'll be rocking a One in the next month or so. Thanks again! :)

If you root (gain administrator privileges if you aren't familiar with the term), you'll be able to run either stock android or HTC sense, but likely not mix and match from either.

Personally I love HTC phones, but something about open source stock android has its perks as well. Its just lightweight, speedy, hugely customizable, and great on battery life.

I'd suggest buying the normal one with the HTC skin. You can always root it and play around with stock android later if you get bored a year from now

Plain vanilla stock Android IS best. I can't stand OEM skins like Sense or Touchwiz. Give me plain Android and let me build the look and functionality I want from there.

BTW, the HTC One will be available with stock Android, SIM and bootloader unlocked, on June 26.

Very sweet choice deciding on a HTC One! Even though I do not use the One, the aluminium body is magnificent. I have a friend who uses the One and he said that it was a really good phone in terms of gaming. The only disadvantage is the 4.7" screen size.
