I've lost all faith in humanity

Sadly this seems to happen on at least a monthly basis for me. Just the fact that people so stupid and irresponsible are walking around sucking air makes me want to cry. Then I find that my tax dollars are paying for this stupid and irresponsible behavior and I just want to curl up in a ball in the corner and weep uncontrollably.

First we have this guy. He has either 20 or 21 kids. Apparently they're not sure as they lost count when they ran out of fingers and toes. He says he's had 4 kids in the same year twice. And these kids are with 11 different women. The state is garnishing his wages of course, but they can legally only garnish 50% of what he earns. The problem is they get $400 out of this guy, split it up 20 different ways and a lot of the moms get nothing or next to nothing. Guy says he has no plans to have any more kids, but also says he had no plans to have this many in the first place. Ugh.

Then we have good old Octomom who has filed for bankruptcy. I hate this woman with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. She had six kids, was unemployed, living off food stamps so she decides it's a good idea to get artificially inseminated and have eight more???? WTF does not even begin to express it. And now she's filed for bankruptcy because she's still unable to support her 14 children with no job. Boy. Who saw that coming? Yet our tax dollars are going to support both of these people.

Hence I have lost all faith in humanity. One guy who "accidentally" had 20 some odd kids and another lady who think that filing bankruptcy will fix the fact that she has 14 kids and no income. Ugh. If you need me I'll be weeping in the corner.

Everyone has most likely seen this, but it's the truth and needs to be said.

You burp with the strength of a thousand chickens young grass hopper.

Well said! :)

You are right about the whole thing... but sadly you need to rise above the flames!!

You need to forget the craziness of the world...

You need to focus your energy and good intentions on what really matters ;)

Because from the famous words of the awe inspiring Masutatsu Oyama comes this:

"Pain Is Knowledge"

Here is a video on Masutatsu Oyama kicking the living shite out of a bull with his bare hands:

Oyama Vs Bull - YouTube

And from the epic words of Bruce Lee himself comes this:

"Now water can flow.... and water can crash... Be water my friend"

You are legendary... if you want to be. :)

You need to forget the madness.

If you can't fix it right now... then make an empire or name for yourself and THEN kick some serious ass and change things because then you will be well known and can easily make changes ;)

Just for a crazy random example... I went to an online testing place what they call a so called "IQ" or "Intelligence Quotient"...

I only scored like 84 hahaha :D

But you know what?

I am not gonna let it get me down :)

I know that those tests aren't even true in any way really.

There are soooo many different types of intelligence that you can't even call it that! ;)

Today a billionaire with local ties gave $35 mil to the Smithsonian. He was immediately criticized around the 'net for not giving more and being greedy. Makes absolutely no sense at all.

The words from the late, great Bob Marley's song Rat Race.

"it's a disgrace to see the human race in a rat race"

"You got the horse race;You got the dog race;You got the human-race;
But this is a rat race, rat race!"

Not enough information provided to offer a comment.

It was one of the Koch brothers if that makes any difference at all. The Occupy people around here have targeted him and Koch Industries (a big company in our town) for their horrible, capitalistic excesses.

To be fair each of those saying he didn't give enough have given more... I assume, or they'd just look like whining fools!

I did find an article related David Koch donating to the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. If one is rich, then one is above rebuke ?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/03/koch-gives-smithsonian-35_n_1474389.html

"Some groups have criticized the Koch brothers for funding efforts fighting legislation related to climate change. The University of Massachusetts at Amherst has listed Koch Industries among the nation's top 10 air polluters."

Their activities are horrible capitalistic excesses (not the lack of comma). These are the brothers who pour tens of millions into groups that help shorten and worsen the loves of hundreds of millions of people - all while hoarding their own wealth.

Of course, it seems crazy to criticise the helpless old man for donating what is a fair some of money to a fairly worthy cause, it hardly helps these groups reputations. They should focus on what they do with the money they dont give to groups that enhance society, like say, the money they give to (indirectly or directly) the Tea Party, various anti-enviornmentalist and man-made climate change denying, or the Heritage Foundation.

No, but it is pretty insane to call someone greedy for voluntarily donating $35M.

How about calling them mobsters that give a little of money they stole some of which they were convicted of stealing to charity ?

Koch Brothers Flout Law Getting Richer With Secret Iran Sales - Bloomberg

"For six decades around the world, Koch Industries has blazed a path to riches -- in part, by making illicit payments to win contracts, trading with a terrorist state, fixing prices, neglecting safety and ignoring environmental regulations. At the same time, Charles and David Koch have promoted a form of government that interferes less with company actions."

My observation is that people with foresight and a grasp of reality about the world and their income have a few kids. One or two. Maybe three.
People with out foresight have tons of kids.
