Ive lost my calendars !!! :(

Hi All

I have a Galaxy Samsung SII and unfortunately dropped it and it broke the screen but luckily still worked.

So I did a FULL backup through KIES (ready to restore to my repaired/replacement phone). I then did a google sync (why-oh-why I dont know) and it blanked ALL the events from my phones calendar !!!!

Dont Panic I thought - I did a restore of the 'events' (this was the point when I got a bit nervous as they use a different name but the logos the same) from my full backup. Looked at my phone and its still blank !!!


This has absolutely screwed me up, as I keep important records in my calendar (unclaimed mileage / expenses etc)


Is there anyway I can get them back? Could they still be there on a hidden data file on the phone (I havent sent it back yet).

Any help would be VERY VERY MUCH appreciated.

Kies and Google access different calendars. Kies can only sync "My Calendar", which Google cannot access or sync. Go to Calendar>Menu>Settings>Calendars>see which calendars are checked there.

I have tried selecting "All calendar", just "My calendar", none and all of them but nothing appears.

I do not understand why syncing with google (which I get is the calendar linked with the [g]) has destroyed my independant phone calendar. Is this a bug ?!?

Honestly, I have no idea, I have both calendars running no problems on my phone, so not sure about what you exactly did.

Have you tried viewing the Google calandar from a PC?
