JB and Reception

[clitrenta]

Can someone offer up and opinion on whether Jelly Bean will do ANYTHING to improve reception? I'm not saying it's bad but I'm thinking if there was any one area I would like to see improved on this phone, its reception. Pretty crappy in my office. Getting calls is fine. Using Data is an entirely different matter.

Do you have anything to compare the reception with? Like someone elses phone or an old phone?

I get about the same reception on my Galaxy as I did on my iPhone. The only thing different I've noticed is a somewhat longer initial latency for data requests... which is annoying. From when I initiate a request to when the phone starts downloading the data there is a 4-5 second wait time. After that, the download speed is fast... even subsequent requests have pretty low latency as long as I don't wait to long.

I'm not sure if this is part of the design or what, but the iPhone 4S latency seemed less noticeable.
