JB quirk - tethering does not show up in battery stats

So I tethered my battery from 80% to 15% (took about 2 hours, so that's not too bad). But when I went to look at my battery stats, they looked unchanged from the 80% mark with a 20 minute phone call taking up the majority (about 40%) of the energy usage.

I am pretty sure that before JB, tethering would register in battery stats as android os or something else...

maybe its a fluke and wont happen again, or maybe something has changed the way battery stats are calculated. anyways... not a big deal, but interesting to note.

Maybe when tethering, the battery is used by WiFi and not the tether app itself. Just a guess.

ya, that could be. didnt think of that. but nothing related to wifi showed up in battery stats, unless wifi usage is listed under AndroidOS in battery stats or something else...
