i updated yesterday & i always notice a slight lag when flipping through homescreens on first swipe. also app drawer lags for about a second when i open it, this happens mostly when i clear the ram on ram manager. anybody else having these issues?

Why do you feel the need to clear RAM- the S3 has plenty! I'd let Android do its own memory management- when you manually clear RAM, there's processes that the system will immediately try to reload- that might be causing the perceived lag.

In my experience, the OS works best when you let it do it's thing....

thanks & yeah that makes sense, i just get paranoid i'll run out of ram or something like whenever it's at 0.90 or more i just clear it, it's a pet peeve & yeah i'll just have to let it do it's thing, ive also noticed battery life has decreased, i don't know if it's the OS or if it's the fact that i'm constantly clearing the ram .

Just updated to JB & we'll see how the battery goes, using Apex launcher & definitely not lagging, seems snappier than ICS by a long shot. It wouldn't surprise me if your battery was suffering from the RAM clearing tho- you're certainly making the CPU do extra work as it stops & then has to restart processes. Also, the phone is probably not entering sleep mode as often or for as long which would affect your battery.

With any OS update, give your phone a few days at least for the system to "equalize", especially if you did a reset as all the apps that sync data have to get back up to speed. If you look at your data usage the first day after a ROM update, it's going to be high- all that initial transferring/syncing eats up battery.
