Jelly bean update

Phone updated today. Seems to use less ram than ics so far. Process done using wi_fi, and took less than ten minutes total. So far , no problems.

Because my phone is shut off for other reasons although i still use it for games and other apps how would i go about updating it when i try through software update it says server unavailable or software is up to date...Is their a way around this?? Thanks!

So anyone have a problem with the update? I got the message to update so I did so. Got to the end of the status bar, phone restarted and in continued to install. Then at the end of that it said update failed. Since then I can't get it passed the At&T logo. Just hangs there. I did a factory wipe/restore through the recovery menu and still same result. Any suggestions? The phone was rooted and I did do the last update with no problems at all so I don't know what could've caused this problem. Thanks in advance

mine is unlocked but not rooted.
so I can't guess why you two have a problem.
mine is active on T-Mobile thirty buck a month Walmart plan. might move to at&t for lte prepaid.

moved to go phone plan, found out lte works only if you use original phone at&t apn settings. Lte speed worth extra cost, plus no issues with web use as was sometimes the case with mvno. At&t customers get highest priority on cell towers.
