Help Jelly Bean will slow S3?

thahim

Android Enthusiast
I updated Xperia Neo V from 2.2 to ICS and it slowed up my phone, now if i update S3 from ICS to Jelly Bean will it effect the phone speed or any glitches?

Also tell me is there any official update i haven't connected my phone to pc yet just bought it today. What are the changes in jelly bean and will i get back all touch and swipe features with jelly bean.

If anything, it's going to be faster. There are some leaked ROMs, and it seems it's pretty good and fast, better than ICS. As of now, no official update yet, probably next month.

Sounds like you need to segregate the questions there.

Upgrading from, ICS to JB on the S3 specifically will give you a few improvements, additional software in the form of Google now for one

You may have updates available, just not the JB one, just hook your S3 upto your pc and check through samsung Kies software - or - connect to your home wifi and check Over The Air through your phone

Settings > about phone > update

If you lost swype type features check settings here

Settings > language & input > Samsung keyboard > Tap the gear icon > tick continuous input

Running CM10 Jelly Bean right now, amazingly smooth!

Hope you didn't loose any features from the phone?

@XplosiV i'v got update while checking for updates on wifi i don't know its JB update or what, it just says its a software update.

It won't be JB it will just be a 'bugfix' update but it may improve battery life and overall reliability and performance so update to that anyway

Running the DLI8 leak, it's smooth. There's no need to worry about JellyBean on the Galaxy S3
