ya i got that too but ive owned iPhone so i figured kies detected iphone backups on my computer i just said no to that and went on with the update

Bootup seems much faster... i noticed my lock screen wallpaper which was once black is more of a grey now. Lost some contrast.

Is it possible to post a screen shot of your lock screen ?

I'm running a black lock and home screen and really don't want it to be less black. And what about the grey drop down menu ? Does yours have that too ?

I don't have an old one for comparison any more, but I think I found the issue:

Setup| Display, (last option) "Auto adjust screen tone"

My Telus reception got better as I moved into the city. That gives me a little more hope.

So far lots of battery drain issues though. I'm trying to get a discussion going in the battery thread.

Well everyone, I jumped in with both feet and updated to JB via Kies. I'm good with it. Faster, smoother and subtle functionality changes that I love! Little things like the sound the phone makes when I initiate and end a phone call ... The sound when I engage the speech-to-text function in the stock text app .... very cool.

So far it looks like I'm a JB convert .... I sure wasn't a few days ago! :D

For those who got the update and had Flash with their old stock browser, I would like to know if the new JB upgrade removes Flash support on the stock browser. I like having Flash support on my browser. If I update and then have to do more work to get Flash support back on, I'm not sure if I want to do the update considering I really like my GS3 running ICS as is and Flash is something that I do use.

I can confirm that Flash still works with stock browser if you had it previously installed. I updated today to 4.1.1

so far so good, getting used to S Planner after using Google calendar or jorte for a few years was a steep learning curve.

My beautiful widgets (wether and clock) are running terribly, and coincidentally the JB update came on the same day BW was updated to a new interface. So I don't know which is causing the glitches. Looking at the BW feedback, it appears to be the app.

So all in all I am really pleased with JB. It has been 2 full days and it is hard to tell if the battery is worse or not.

I do wish S-Planner came with a few different themes, the beige /brown looks like my living room. I head there is a download for the google calendar app, but there appear to be glitches with double notifications that return after shutting them off and then rebooting.

I updated last night. No issues. Flash still works on my browser. I have a game that was lagging a little bit. After JB, it is smooth. The home page transitions on Nova Prime launcher are also smoother. Thumb Keyboard also seemed a bit less laggy as well.

Just a few annoying things I have noticed. If you do not set a default app for certain things like a browser, you require 2 taps to launch the app. Before you only require 1 tap. Also, in my Pulse app, for some reason the button to launch the article in a web browser is not there. I have to press the menu button and then press the option to launch the browser. This is annoying in that it now takes me 4 taps instead of 2 taps to launch an article in Pulse in a web browser as I do not have a default browser set.

The calendar widget I have for Android Pro Widgets had to be reconfigured. It did not remember which calendars to sync with. I was wondering why it was blank. Once I selected my calendars again, it is fine.

Were you using google calendar? It's gone with the update and I had to reconfigure my calendars to use S-Planner (which will sync with google and I am fine with that...) Apparently google calendar is on the market though...

It gives you the option if you want to "Always" do the action that you just did (ex: click a hyperlinked phone number in browser) or "Just one". If you select Always, you never have to do 2 taps.

I think it is a nice thing to have this once the O/S is upgraded, as otherwise you have to dig into Settings -> Application Manager to clear defaults that you set long time back.

My battery seems to be worse. I'm not sure if a factory reset would help with this. I'm losing at least 5% every hour so far without using the phone at all. I disabled a bunch of apps. They added a Simple Alarm widget, which I don't need and it's been running constantly since the upgrade.

I was hoping the upgrade would help with the battery, but it's just my luck :(
