Help jellybean issue

Hi, new to the forum so please excuse any errors i may make,can anyone suggest why my samsung docking station/ charger discharges my battery instead of charging since updating the phones software to jellybean.It used to charge the phone fine before updating and samsung customer services tell me that a future update may cure this problem but are unable to help at this time.I have tried the usual factory reset but to no avail and have now returned to the standard usb/mains charging lead originally supplied and this still works fine although charging seems to take longer.Any help or suggestions would be great.

is it that your docking station was discharging your battery? or that it wasn't charging at all? these are totally different scenarios.

i have the official Samsung charging dock, and i'm on rooted Jelly Bean without this issue.

Just double checked and when in the dock the phone displays on charge but the battery level slowy decreases and not increases.
