i've just suddenly out of the blue, on the notification bar, been informed of a 'non market' APP ready for installation.

Not the gullible type I have ignored it. I still have the archive if anyone wants to profile it and see exactly what it will do.

Sadly this is the invasion starting, how can I stop an application simply turn up like this. Not asked for and not a 'Market' verified app.

Also take my advice and be *very* wary of Orange. Never let them set up a direct debit.

I'd check on your apps to see if anything has permissions that it shouldn't have. Are you rooted?

No I am not rooted. I checked my list and it ain't installed. It just appeared on the notification bar as a download. Bluetooth is disabled.
