JKase Quick Review

My JKase from Amazon just got delivered, thought I'd do a quick review for anyone looking for an affordable case. Amazon links at the bottom.

Nothing much to say about the packaging. Didn't look too promising though.

The case looked like silicon at first, but is a bit more sturdy. More like soft plastic. It's not squishy, and doesn't stick like silicon cases do. I thought the case was going to be white, but that's my fault for not reading. It's listed as clear on Amazon. Really, the transparency doesn't bother me.

Plenty of space for the headphone jack, USB port, and speaker. The power button is easy to push, but you don't feel it click like you would without a case. Small holes on the back to connect a keychain/stylus might be useful for some. There is also a hole for the mic at the bottom.

The case really shines in the ridges on either side. They provide a TON of grip, and add a nice bit of texture to the phone. The case also doesn't add much bulk, but does add a bit. But considering how thin this phone is, it's not an issue. It's actually helpful for gorilla hands like mine.

Overall, it's a decent case for $7.99. Free shipping if you have Amazon Prime too, so that's nice. The "S" curve on the back looks pretty cool, and adds a bit of style to the flat black. Will it protect your phone as well as an OtterBox? No. But it does add some extra protection for when you set it down, drop it slightly, or just have it in your pocket. The One V is already sturdy as hell, so the JKase really just adds some extra peace of mind.

thanks for the review. i've been thinking about getting the same one in gray (not too many choices out there). i prefer not to use a case but the lack of rubberized coating on the slim phone makes me feel uneasy when grabbing it from a flat surface

Thanks for the review. Does the front of the case cover the front edges of the screen? I ask because I have a Zagg shield on my screen, but the edges tend to peel up and dirt gets stuck under the edges. I currently have just a basic Sprint rubber case on my phone and am wanting to upgrade to a case with a stand or belt clip. I would really like an Otterbox Defender series but they don`t make those for the Optimus LS970.
