Jony Ive Redesigns Windows 98SE

I know i always complain about Flat UI and how it almost looks like we're devolving back to System 6 and Windows 1.x, but someone made this mock up of an Ive (the guy behind iOS 7's look) design for Windows 98, and i thought it actually modernized the now-defunct and obsolete OS. Oh, the irony.

Get the feel of it cause you are about to see a lot of it . I seen on here and a couple other places that the ui is about to switch back to green and blue letters.

It has better USB support.

Too bad MS will not make the code open source. I guess they are afraid the community will make it much better then Windows!

Although I understand what MB is saying, I kinda like the flat UI (although I dislike iOS7 with a vengeance)

Wouldn't use it. All my pc desktops are plain gray with no animations, nothing.
The desktop isn't important, and you can't see it when you have a program open anyway.

98SE used to have apps that changed the splash screens. I want that back.

You can change the startup and login screens in XP and 7, but you have to hack a couple of .dlls to change the startup animation.

Yes it is, I especially like the Earth with 'SATELLITE' depicting satellites in orbit. Lol minimalism
