Is there a way to download (and save) a jpeg image from a web page like Google Image Search to my phone (htc EVO 3d) so I can set it as my wallpaper? I can't find a setting, option or anything else in the stock browser.

Long-press on the image you want to save and select 'Save image'. Works with the stock browser, Firefox and probably most others.
