Help JPG Problems

Hi,

I plugged a microSD card into my Xperia, formatted it and then transferred all of my pics/videos to it. Now only around 15% of 500 images are actually opening/working.

I then plugged the microSD card into my laptop and get various errors depending on which photo-software I use, including:

"Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because the file appears to be damaged, corrupted or is too large"

The weird thing is that an image straight after it, which has the same size/name (apart from a different number at the end) works perfectly fine.

Is this a known problem? What can I do please to remedy this?

Depending on the size of the card, you may have formatted it wrong in Windows. Everyone says to go FAT32 but larger cards often need to be exFAT.

Best bet is to format using the phone if its settings provide for that.

If it's new, make sure it's legitimate.
