Hoping someone has the solution to this issue...
I have a web service written to return a JSON string. I've included <ScriptService()> on the class and <ScriptMethod(ResponseFormat:=ResponseFormat.Json)> on the web method function that returns the string. However, when I run the web service it returns the following output using XML. What am I missing that would just return the JSON string?:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<string xmlns="http://tempuri.org/">[{"B_ID":"2143291","B_CREATE_TIME":"7/4/2009 12:10:12 AM"},{"B_ID":"3172442","B_CREATE_TIME":"4/29/2010 1:46:08 PM"},{"B_ID":"761090","B_CREATE_TIME":"7/3/2009 1:06:35 PM{"B_ID":"3321527","B_CREATE_TIME":"8/24/2010 2:22:13 PM"}]</string>
