Juice Defender - what am I doing wrong?

Hello,

I've purchased JD Ultimate yesterday and it's good so far. However, every time I'm going back to the home screen it's starting a wifi connection for no reason. Same when I go into the MP3 player (using the widget in the notification dropdown menu won't start wifi).

I took a few screenshots to help with identifying the issue.

As you can see it's showing "SCREEN" in green on the last shot, so I think JDU "thinks" the home screen needs a connection. All I want, after all, is the following:

- JDU shall enable Wifi as soon as an app is trying to make a connection -> not working
- JDU shall allow an app (Guardian Anywhere) to download new articles every day at 9:45 (that's scheduled in the Guardian app) -> not working
- JDU shall disable Wifi as soon as I start FB Reader -> working but going to the home screen will enable Wifi again until FB Reader is back in the foreground even if I only go into the MP3 player

I'm a bit lost and hope you can help me out. I've had the profile set to "Balanced" tonight but the Guardian app couldn't make a connection.

I've thus started playing around with the settings but now I'm running into such issues. It would be great if you could tell me which settings would lead to the desired behaviour.

"Screen" indicates that, under the Triggers tab, you have that setting enabled. You might try disabling and see if that helps. My understanding is that will disable all connectivity when the screen is on, but your individual settings for your various apps might override it.

Alright but where can I find said tab? I've tried looking around the app but to no avail. Possibly because my device hasn't been rooted?

I found a screenshot on Google but it's not looking like that for me.

Edit: never mind, had to reboot after enabling advanced mode. I'll try to get it fixed and ask if there's a problem. Thanks.

It's the last tab on the right. I'm using the Advanced profile. Perhaps it's only visible with that.

The tabs I have are: Help, Status, Control, Schedules, and Triggers.

Yep, it seems to work fine now. The Guardian app is working properly if it's being synced during the peak schedule hours. Thanks again.
