JuiceDefender settings help

Hey, I'm hoping some JuiceDefender experts can help me configure my settings. I'm not wanting huge savings, just wanting to squeeze a LITTLE bit of extra juice out without losing functionality.

What I want is:
- Disable background data and wifi between 2am-8am
- All other times: if I am home, disable data but leave wifi ALWAYS on. If I am not home, disable wifi but leave data ALWAYS on.

I keep forgetting to do this manually, so trying out juicedefender and seeing if it will help. I have juice defender ultimate.

Basically, it's a priority that I'm always 'online'. I need instant gmail notifications, gtalk always signed in, etc.

Current settings:
Mobile Data: Enable
Wifi: Enable
Autosync: Disabled
Keep enabled: data/wifi

Schedule: Disabled (I'm wanting connectivity always)
Night: Enabled. 2am-->8am
Peak: Disabled
Weekend: Disabled

Triggers: When battery < 15%, charger for both usb and ac, enable when screen is on, default controls
Traffic: Disabled (Connectivity should never be disabled)
Apps: Disabled (connectivity should never be disabled)
Location: Enabled

In the notification entry, it currently says:
"Data on (Screen), WiFi on (Screen)
Screen - x1.25"

What does the "x1.25" mean?
Why is WiFi still on? Do I need to disable the "keep enabled" option for location-dependent wifi control to work?

Given my setup, is there any point having JD control data? Because as I understand, android phones by default will disable data when wifi is connected. Does 'JD' do a better job or does it really not matter?

Regarding auto sync, if I enable it, exactly what does JD do with it? Is there any battery saving to enable this or set it to ping (I am not worried about data usage at all)

Lastly, do I need to turn on the "wifi preferred" setting?
