I have decided to go for an Android phone as my next phone. I have been able to sync my contacts to google but i am haveing a problem getting my current phone calalnder to sync with google. I want to have everything ported over to google before I get the new phone. I need the info i have now in my current phone calander. The only other question i have is that when everything is finally ported to google when i get my new phone how hard is ti to then get it all on to the phone.

Thanks, Joe

To port from iPhone to Google Calendar, have you tried exporting your iCal file and then importing it into Google Calendar? Google Calendar has an import function that accepts iCal formatted files. In Google Calendar, you can click the drop arrow next to "Other Calendars" and select import. Then find the iCal file and it'll automatically import your iCal dates.

And once you get your phone, you just log in with your Google account and it'll automatically sync everything to your phone. If you don't want it to sync things, you just have to tell it not to in Settings > Account & Sync.

I am also going to go Android next so was wondering....how do I import my contacts to Google?

ughhh... i cant seem to get it.. got all the way to the last step, then it says, cant process file.. or am i trying to sync the wrong one? I need to import my contacts from iphone... the last time i did so manually from my bb, it took 3 full days.. cant imagine going through that again..:(
