Can't do Ubuntu. Its not a rom and it requires cm 10 (jellybean) plus hash tag is/was working on it. Last version of cwm? 5. Something I think. What do you mean last version of ecksperia rom? I only released two. One based on the stock gb and one based on cm9

So eksperia is for gb and ekspiraz is ics and my cwm says 6.1.12 or something and I kinda miss the Ubuntu rom from my days on the intercept and did anyone ever figure out how to get sliepner to stop rebooting when u have a BUNCH of apps installed?? Thx

From my experience the sleipnir thing is caused by using too much ram......Ubuntu on intercept?

Just took a look at the intercept forum on sdx its not called Ubuntu its ubuntdroid lol sorry and if not the ekspiria roms can use some love :D

And thanks but right now I just slimmed down my .tar backup of sliepner to use just for those times I need the camera XD

Thanks, whatever I decide or the community decides for me it'll be posted on or right near my birthday which is the 27th of july.

Spaz the latest test build of my miui (port.zip) is the first to use the miuiandroid base

hmm. well maybe slim rom would be possible, the 4.1.2 maybe. or a version of sense like 3.6...something the elite could handle. it should be able to handle sense 4.0/4.1

just took a look over in the optimus m forums and they have ported jerryscripts backside rom over to the m which is pretty much the elite minus a few changes. and backside is a bad a** rom for a gingerbread rom.. might make a quick port off it seeing as both devices are so similar. backside was the rom of choice for me on the optimus v. has tons of customization in it. definitely worth a look :)

backside was the first rom i EVER flashed for the v lol

My choice would be to update ecksperiaZ first, then do GSnap ICS, and maybe PA 4.0.4 lol. PS, happy early birthday!

I actually attempted pa a couple months ago, one of the guys from the triumpth section was supposed to revise his code and let me use it but i haven't heard from him. I got it booting and working but no settings would work. Maybe i'll take another look

I've got a small piece of job advice for anyone looking and willing to try something new: Machine shops. My dad was a machinist and his dad and his dad before that. One thing I can tell you about the trade is there's always a job somewhere. I'm a cnc programmer at a medium sized shop. I got the job after 7 months at a trade school specifically for machinists; NTMA training centers. There's only 2, and they're in Southern California; Norwalk and Ontario. If you're in the region I'd suggest checking them out.

Here's the cool thing about machine shops though; you don't necessarily have to have any skills at all. At the place I'm at, there are at least 4 guys who started here sweeping the floors that are now machinists or hold other skilled positions at the shop. Eventually, they get trained on a machine or something else, and somebody else gets hired to sweep.

Go find as many machine shops as you can; and I can practically guarantee that they're everywhere, and ask if you can have a job sweeping the floors. It's a paycheck for the time being, and a gateway to a lifelong career if you're willing to work hard and learn.
