I'm coming from a Vibrant and I gotta say that I wasn't that impressed with the qHd screen until I really stared at a picture that I put on both phones. Zoomed all the way in you can see that its very pixelated on the samoled screen and very smooth on the qhd screen. Plus, I never noticed the blue tint on my Vibrant until yesterday. Samoled is brighter but that doesn't mean that the colors are truer. Blacks are significantly better on the samoled screen. I would love and can't wait to see the samoled+ screen
I've never had a phone with Sense on it before so it was a new experience to me and so far I like it. I am going to have to get used to it. There are some things about touchwiz I really miss like the slide gesture in contacts to either make a call or send a message. But Sense widgets are pretty useful, especially the people widget. I love that one
Earpiece volume isn't as good as my vibrant. It sounds like the speaker is cracking when I talk sometimes. Its plenty enough loud, it just sound like someone is talking with a tin can over their mouth sometimes but I can live with it. The death grip issue isn't that big of a deal to me b/c I barely connect to wifi anyway. I thought it was going to be a lot worse than it really is.
Battery life on this thing is solid so far but I've only had it for 2 full charging cycles. Unplugged at 8 am, I used it heavily all day(music, emails, texting, surfing, screen all the way bright w/out auto, and phone calls) and its still got juice. My Vibrant wasn't as bad as some other peoples so this doesn't surprise me that much
The feel and build, what can I say that hasn't been said yet. I love the weight of this thing. But call me paranoid but I'm really scared about whats going to happen when I drop this phone even though it does feel solid. I've dropped my Vibrant, kicked it across a parking lot on accident, had my dog use it as a chew toy and this thing is still working flawlessly with only a few nicks and scratches.
All in all, I love the phone and give a 8 outta 10. I'm not a fanboy and I am very unbiased when it comes to buying a phone. I don't care who builds it as long as its functional. It was one of the biggest reasons I wanted to get outta the Vibrant cause I need the gps to work more than anything. If there coulda been a way to frankenstein these phones together it woulda been the perfect device.
