so i was cleaning my screen yesterday on my N7 and noticed a little speck that looked like dust but it wouldnt come off...so i inspected further and looks like it only shows up when im in the app drawers or when i go to recent apps...basically on a black screen its very small and when i turn down the screen brightness it seems to fade more i just dont want it to be something where it gets worse over time anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like a bad pixel group possibly. I had something similar with my first Nexus and Google swapped it for a new one without any problems.

i'm just contemplating whether i should take it back or not....its hardly noticeable at all but i dont want it to get worse...

Mine was only visible if the background was white. The concern I had was if there were some bad pixels then it might grow with use and it would be easier to get it replaced sooner rather than later.

It also annoyed me just knowing it was there.
