I just bought a Hero having used this site as a source of information in my own iphone vs Hero debate.

I can't wait to get it - thanks to all those, (whoever you were) who provided useful insites into Hero ownership!

Good choice, which network are you getting it on and are you going direct or through a third-party?

Make sure you check to see if your Hero has been upgraded with the latest ROM when you get it although I suspect it won't be. The installation process is easy and I suggest you do it before setting up anything else on your phone.

Great phone, amazing UI, good choice.

Make sure you download TaskPanel X off the market to help clear unused apps in the background, and use the settings toggles: Wifi, Blutooth, Mobile data and GPS. Tap then when you need to use them, then tap them when you don't need them. Helps a lot with battery life.

I've bought an unlocked Orange Hero from a 3rd party. Going to be using it on another network with a rolling contract.

This has to be one of the best phones I've ever had in my life... the customization is unbelieveable and HTC Sense is AWESOME
