Help Just found out why my GPS wasn't working well

Well. I have S2's. One is att version and one I just got today which is the international. I was curious as to why the i9100's gps was so weak while my att one was working just fine.

then I figured out I was using a metal battery cover that I got for the i9100. I guess the metal really affected the gps. I took it off and it works fine now.

it does take away its gps functionality.

OK. here's my question. did trying the gps while I had the metal cover on do damage to my gps? Im being extra careful with my phone because I just got this today -.-

The case wouldn't have done any damage to the GPS.
It was just blocking the GPS from getting satellite signals.
