Just got a moto g

Just got a moto g3 from best buy the other day. So far I really like it. I think it's fast enough for my use. Just talking, texting, and web browser and video. I don't usually game. But since I bought it I notice it is getting way hot. I know phones do but just a few minutes talking to best buy and it's burning my ear and even to hot to put in my pocket. They said I could exchange it but I am wondering if I should upgrade. I see the hauwei p8 and honor 5x. Wondering who here really likes their moto g's or should I upgrade. Having a hard time deciding. How common are the heat issues.

Haven't had any problems of this sort. If I leave it on for an hour while using GPS in the car, it does get warm on the back side. Suggest you return it right away. It's a great phone for the price. Camera is the only weak feature.

I ended up taking it back and geting the huawei p8 lite. Its seems OK. I will try it for awhile and if I don't like it o may go back to the moto g. I really liked it and it was fast enough for my use. Just didn't like it over heating.

Your Moto G experience is not typical. If it was me I would have returned it and tried another Moto G.

Something is wrong with it, even with a misbehaving app keeping the device awake, cores under heavy load, and charging it will get warm, very warm, but not hot...

I would exchange it for another or go Huawei Honor 5x, nice phone.... The P8 Lite is OK but the battery life is pretty poor compared to the G or 5x

I have been using MotoG 3rd Gen for the past one month, but the device isn't heating up as mentioned :)
