Just got my s3, need help please!

A little background...
My first venture into smart phones what the motorola droid a little over 2 years ago. I loved my android and everything was simple. A year later I decided to give the iphone a try and i had the iphone 4s for the last year and it was ok but i wanted to go back to android.... Yesterday I bought a samsung galaxy s3 for me and one for my wife, and it seems that this phone is much more complicated?

I'm so used to how organized everything is with itunes and syncing it to my iphone that I am lost with my new android. Last night i downloaded the Kies software and was able to sync some music and photos but I have questions..
(1) Is kies the best way to add music, videos, pics, etcs to my s3? If so is it possible to make albums of pictures instead of just one huge collage?
(2) I have several ebooks(pdf), magazines, etc that i kept on my iphone and would like to know how to add them to my s3 and where i can find them on my phone.

Other than that I just feel kinda lost at how many apps/widgets that are on this phone and how many screens are there. Any tips are how you guys organize your s3 and go about importing/exporting media would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

In my opinion, the best way to add anything is directly onto the sd card. Just plug in the s3 and go to "my computer" and put what you want, where you want. Don't really understand the whole sync attitude tbh

thanks for your input, is there a folder to add ebooks to on the sd card? I have hooked up the s3 to the pc.. i know where the music folder and video folders are but where would i add books to?

What application do you intend to read those books with? Android applications usually allow the users to choose a specific media from anywhere in their device. You can create a folder yourself and name it books AFAIK. Depends on the App though.

Thats it, create a folder where you want. Call it ebooks if you like... not everything has a default folder. You have the freedom to organise as you see fit
