just got my unlock code from T-mobile BUT

i just got my T mobile unlock code and t mobile told me to insert a non t mobile sim.but i don't have a non t mobile sim.is there any other way i can enter the code.

I actually don't know. Why would you unlock it if you don't have a non T-Mobile SIM you need to run?

In my limited experience with T-mobile, you're best bet is to borrow a SIM from another carrier like AT&T and try it - that is what I normally do. I'm guessing you are planning to use to use it in another country? Keep the unlock code handy when you do get another carrier's SIM.

i typed #7465625*638*# to bring the screen up and typed in my code and then it says unlock unsuccessful.

You can get free sims from all over the place, just pick one up and put it in (might need to get a micro sim cutter)

The best thing is to borrow a sim. An expired one will do. Try a phone shop if friends don't have one. If all else fails, you can often purchase pay as you go phones really cheaply. If the phone uses a sim, it will be included in the package.
