Just got the DX.. Wish I did it sooner.

Just switched from the OG Droid..

WOW.. Wish I switched a long time ago. WHAT an upgrade. Anyway, to those on the fence - do it. It's going to be so nice to not have run out of room, nor to have to reboot every 6 hours.

its nice to switch out of the OG droid but i still miss my open bootloader and the roms i could flash, with my current droid 2 global i cant do shit except flash over fission which i personally dont like, but hey thats just me

haha....this was me 5 months ago. i was completely happy with my OG droid (minus the screen redraws, and no room for apps) i too good of a deal to pass up on my DX so i jumped on it and have been a happy camper since. no redraws, i have 120+ apps and i still have over 5gb of internal memory left. not to mention, everything runs smoother (FLASH especially)

welcome to the club, looks like you joined just in time to watch the whole bootloader thing unfold :)

Indeed!

I've rooted with z4, but actually (at least for now) dont have ANY plans to start flashing ROMs. I'm so happy with the phone as it is and the small improvements on the UI compared to the OG Droid that I might just sit where i am forever. I've got it customized pretty well, and this thing FLIES. Don't feel the need to mess with it outside of root.

We'll see if that changes.. but agreed, i'm at about 100 apps already. 6gb left, 12gb left on SD card. It's a beautiful thing. OG Droid had 32MB left on internal and I had 5gb left on the SD card (mostly backups)

@OP: I just got mine yesterday, so I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'd taken all sorts of steps to manage the smaller amount of RAM and mitigate the redraws; I was having problems with it right up until the end.
