Root Just got the MT

CM7 is very legit. I've been using it for a few months now. I have very few issues and battery life is good. MT-DEV team is killin it with roms. Scope it.
 
I was looking around and so far i really like cm9 and ics, it looks amazing, way better than stock froyo, but theres no camera which isnt a big deal but kinda sucks, and mtdev cm7 is pretty good
 
CM9 is a great ROM, I'm currently using it as my daily driver. It kind of sucks not having a camera, but MTDEV is actively working on this. The battery life is great, and if you use voice features a lot, this is the way to go.

That said, CM7 is solid too, and there are some really good ICS themes out there for it.

If you need a working camera, try MTDEV CM7. If you want working HDMI too, go with either the Sharp or U9000 Froyo ROMs. All are quite a bit better than stock...enjoy!
 
at this point everything is better than Stock.
Sometimes I wonder if Moto guys are reading this forum.
 
I like to use deodexed stock rooted with fock kernel and holo launcher and holo locker looks like ics with jellybean lockscreen but status bar is stock but i have full use of camera and hdmi if i want with the ics look and feel until cm9 and cm10 have our camera fixed from the mtdev team cus they rock
 
Ill go ahead and maybe say what's been said, but if I were you I'd listen and go with cm7, admire the features, get to know it, maybe OC just a Tad, and wait for cm9 ics to be as bugless as cm7, it wont be long, your really having more than necessary, cm9 is more beautiful, but cm7 has more to offer at this moment in time I'd say
 
I too am new owner of a Triumph, and love it - it's my first smart phone.

I am running CM7.2 "20120819" and everything seems to work for me - camera, gps, wifi, though I am not a power user. If I am having issues, I have not noticed anything serious.
Only glitch I have noticed is short "LOL" type texts fail on first try, by figure that has more to do with Google than the phone itself.
 
I switched to MIUI 2.4.20 v3. I was having an issue with CM7 that made my phone unusable so that's why I switched. ****This is not a knock on G60madman or the MTDEV staff, I am patiently waiting for the next built to be released (my phone would quit receiving calls and SMS messages with the latest build, they are aware of a problem) so please do not take my comments that way.

But, I really like this ROM and MIUI has tons of free themes to choose from.

We are getting close with the next release. Chairshot has been busting it out! Right now WiFi is still having some issues but we think we may have it pinpointed. After a few more tweaks and some solid testing it should be out. We have been taking our time with releases to make sure we are putting out quality and not quantity. Its why we have slowed down a bit on the releases as of late.

LOL, I should have put emphasis on the word patiently ;). Absolutely not a problem for me. G60 watch your tip jar as I plan another small "tip" in appreciation of you and the MTDEV team.

Not yet sure if my problem is because of the ROM or an app. I am will to try and figure it out because I love a challenge.
