Just moved over from the Eris

Hi everyone. I just got my Droid 2, coming from an Eris. What a change. The Eris feels like a little toy now. The Droid 2 screams. The only thing I have noticed is my signal is no better than it was with my Eris. A coworker's DX has a much better signal all the time. So far after a day though this phone is awesome.

The more I read it looks like a common thing. Like Motorola put a beast of an antenna in the X and cheaped out on the Droid 2. It's no worse than what I had before. I just noticed in my office, which is buried away, my co worker has a consistent 3 bars of 3G when my 2 fades completely in and out. Not cool on Motorola's part.

Are you sure it's a signal strength issue, and not a diplay meter accuracy issue, VanDums? Have you experienced any dropped calls, etc?

Yes. I know this because I can't download anything from the Marketplace and the web is very very slow most of the time. I'll get no network errors intermittently. This was the same as the Eris which had a weak antenna.

I work in the bowels of a big building so not having a signal was just normal until my coworker got the X which always has a strong signal even down here. I love the Droid 2, the X is way too big, this is purely about noticing the difference in signal. Since the Droid 2 is a little newer and from the same company I just expected the same signal quality. I'm not really complaining, just an observation.
