Help Just ordered the MAXX

Hey guys I just ordered the Razr Maxx and I am very excited. I was able to upgrade about 2 months early due to problems with a DINC (phone I was using) then a Droid 2 (phone I activated to try and make it to the upgrade that was 2 months away)...

Anyway the phone will arrive Thursday or Friday, and I am wanting to know if there are any must haves or anything I can do that will make the phone a bit better. My DINC was rooted, but I don't think I will root this phone immediately unless I am not happy with it stock. I really want ICS but will try to wait. Any thoughts on this? Should I root immediately?

Also, is the phone picky on chargers? Will it accept (and not harm the battery) the chargers I used to use for my DINC?

Also II, I want a durable phone, but I hate cases. How tough is this phone? I own a trucking & excavating business and farm as well... I want a tough phone. I will get a case if I need to but I havent in the past and I have been lucky. I considered the commando, but the nerd inside said I needed something a bit more "high tech".

yes the phone is plenty tough its got a very solid display and build frame its a great quality made phone. rooting the phone now is not so wise with this locked boot loader i suggest only rooting not custom roms. you can use different chargers it should be the same for almost all smartphones that use the same usb type cords.

I disagree with Zero about rooting and roming the phone. Yes, you need to be careful, but the devs have created tools in the event you have a problem and need a way back to stock.. I'm running an ICS rom now. That said, the stock rom is plenty nice, you won't NEED to root it to have a good phone.

I walked into the Verizon store ready to get my Maxx but they didnt have it in stock. They did order it for me and it will be shipped to my house next Monday. I went online and was checking it out and the online site said the Maxx would ship out 3/16 the latest. So I thought go in to the store but that didnt work. I wanted to get it today. So now I wait.
