Root Just rooted backflip-need some help

mikehhh

Lurker
So, I just successfully rooted my Motorola Backflip, and I'd like to remove the pre-installed at&t apps. How do I do so?

although this is for a specific phone...... the same answer applies to nearly all phones.......

so Ive moved this to the lounge where you will get more exposure and more answers

I've read that for some phones, what you have to do is download two apps (busybox and titanium backup) but once i install busybox and try to open titanium, it doesnt open.

I'm also curious if there's just any tips i should know on how to improve battery life with the new root access that I have. or just improve overall performance. and how do i perform a nandroid backup? when i tried camera button+power button to turn it on, it brought me to the right screen, and when i chose recovery, it didnt work.

Just got a new phone and it's not rooted yet...

but if I remember correctly. download titanium backup.
Then click Batch, i think, and you'll see all your apps.
long press the app you want to delete and click delete. Just be careful what you delete. This will allow you to delete anything... so if you dont know what it is... dont delete it.

I have done this before and never used busybox... so get rid of that... unless it serves some other use.

You might have to ask this question in your Backflip forum -all things root section.
But if you've booted into recovery, there should be an option called NAND backup... or backup and restore..
that's where you would do your Nandroid backup AND restores.
