Just quick note to say hello. I have several android devices. A Samsung note, Samsung tab 2 7.0 and a hd2 which Has been converted to android. The note is my main problem. This phone is stuck in 2.3.5 and I would've to bring it up to ics. I see there is a few different option for doing this but I guess this is not the place for those questions. Ok, thanks for letting me join and I look forward to learning more about this whole android world.

Hey the slamdunk, glad to have you aboard

If you root your device it will allow you to put ICS on it as long as developers have support for your device.

Thanks for your quick reply. Rooting my note will my 1st operation. I found a site which promised one click rooting. Sounded pretty simple but I've gone into this forum's talk on rooting and it's almost cared me off it. Totally Greek to me! Perhaps with a little help I'll work it all out. Thanks again.

Thanks for the help. I read over the info you pointed me to and though I won't pretend to understand it all there was some level of comprehension achieved. But.... my baseband version is n7000xxkj4 and I can't find the corresponding file on the web page you sent me to. I'm I doing some wrong or just misunderstand what I'm looking for. Thanks again for the help.
