Just started using Launcher Pro

This may be a stupid question, but what is a "scrollable widget"? How is it different than say my Twitter or Bookmarks HTC widgets that scroll? I'm looking at the option in preferences in LP that says "Enable Scrollable Widgets" and not sure what I'm enabling.
 
I played with Launcher Pro a couple months ago but never got the hang of it and went back to Sense UI. The other week, I decided to try it again and this time I put more heart and soul into setting it up and tweaking it to my preferences. A few hours ago I finally tweaked LP to the point where I'm kind of liking it. I know I will have to dabble with it a bit more before I find the sweet spot. It is has a "wow factor" to it compared to the stock HTC launcher. I've also got ADW Launcher and Ultimate Faves Pro to play with and compare.
 
Okay, now that I have discovered custom docks and played with a few settings, I am loving the new and improved LP+. The swipe feature is awesome and I haven't had any force closes yet. The Power Control and Beautiful Widgets widgets replace the HTC sense settings widgets. Twitter widget works great. Definitely glad I was convinced to give it another (well, third) shot.
 
I switched to Launcher Pro after buying WeatherBug Elite so I could have more room for widgets on my home screen. The dock rocks.

PayPal won't take my credit card so I can't try the Plus version.

I love this homescreen! This is all done with Weatherbug Elite? The moon and sun widgets are exactly what I've been looking for, and the radar is a definite plus!
 
so i gave it a try, then cleaned up my phone and deleted LP with all the widgets. now i want it back :)

the problem im having is a widget i downloaded that was very clean and simple and it had toggle for bluetooth, wifi, 3g, airplane etc....

anyone know what it was called? i think it was something like snazzle or snizzle something like that. thanks

Thanks for the info. I was debating on whether to upgrade, but wanted to know some of the features w/Pro. I have only 2 screens, but absolutely love the scroling docks. I would like at least 1 more (the free version only has 3).

Well...you could look at it like that...or you could look at it as thanking the developer for taking the time to create the app.

I'm pretty cheap too, but when I had a WinMo phone, I spent about $70 for only two apps that I really needed. $2.99 is such a small price, I feel really bad not donating/purchasing, especially if I use the app a lot.

The paid version also has a max of 3 docks, but you get 5 buttons and 5 swipe actions on each, making potential for 30 shortcuts. I uninstalled App Organizer because even with the 15, I don't to clutter my desktop with icons.
 
So yesterday I was looking for some new icons, and I saw LP had a new icon pack. There was a paid version for all the colors, and the free one was the basic grey scale/transparent, now I cant find it anywhere. Anyone know where I can get it (the free one)

yeah i saw that, but i think i found something where you could download a pack of them, not just individual ones. Then it said to get colors, purchase the pro version

im pretty sure sense just shuts down after you dont use it for a while, so you dont have to worry about it draining the battery


On another note, I never saw it posted here, but did you know you could swip the dock bar and get new sets of icons as if you were switching entire screens. Pretty cool feature. Saves room on the screens for widgets.
