Just wanted to say hello

Lurker
Just ordered me the backflip. I have owned the iphone a couple of different times and just was not that crazy about it. I have read a lot of good about this phone and I decided on it because I have a older backup phone which is a razr and the reception is way better than any iphone I have ever had. I live on the outer fringes of reception area, so the razr would always have strong signal than the iphone. again just saying hello and if can enlighten me as to the apps I would need and any suggestions. I spend a lot of time outdoors, so a good weather app would be a must. thanks in advance for any and all help

Welcome and you are going to love the phone. One way to get the "iPhone Feel" is using GDE with the iDroid theme and BetterCut for your icons. Looks almost like an iPhone. As for apps; there are plenty to keep you busy. The BF has a great weather widget, so stock is best.

My favs
Opera and Skyfire (internet apps and skyfire plays flash video)
Quick Settings (one click to all valuable setings)
Handcent SMS (Text and MMS message program)
Pandora (radio)
Yelp (user reviews on local business)
Shop Savvy (Compare all prices)
Estrong File Manager (acces to your storage card)
Barcode Beasties (Game for te kids when shopping)
Toddler Lock (Also great for kids)

Good luck and you are going to love your new phone
