K-9 easy way to permanently delete messages?

Is there a way to set K-9 to easily delete messages permanently? The only way I've found to doit is to go into the accout, press menu, press folder list, then long-press trash and select empty trash. That's just a ridiculous amount of presses. Is there a way to have it empty when you exit or purge messages after a set amount of time or something?
